Nom Nom Cantine, the W Hotel’s new restaurant just across from Square Victoria, isn’t your usual fusion eatery. Drawing upon the ephemeral restaurant concept, it is an accessible canteen designed to encourage what’s really important: the joy of eating and drinking, together.
Executive Chef Gregory Faye (of Maison Boulud fame) is joined by part-owner and Chef Eric Bruner-Yang to artfully create dynamic menus of small and shared plates that are as much a feast for the eyes as for the palette. Not fitting into any one category, the restaurant happily avoids labels due to its ever-changing menus, inspired by city happenings, seasons, trends, or whatever the Chef feels like making that day!
Set in a décor best described as industrial meets boho-chic, Nom Nom Cantine serves up a fragrant and exciting combination of Asian and French cuisines, with options ranging from French onion dumplings and mini banh mi with foie gras to curry poutine and tartare. Not to disappoint, a structured wine and cocktail list offers interesting selections to pair with the Asian flavours featured in the menu. Nom Nom!
