Just five minutes from downtown, the Clock Tower Beach can accommodate up to 800 people.
Open until Labour Day, it features heaps of soft, silky sand, lounge chairs, colourful parasols and a wooden boardwalk. Drinks and munchies are available at the on-site refreshment stand. While swimming isn’t allowed, refreshing mist stations and showers are available to cool off during the day.
Built in 1921 to honor brave Merchant Navy sailors lost in World War I, it provides a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River, the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, Île Sainte-Hélène, and Old Montreal.
On fireworks evenings, you are invited to adult-only nights with a musical ambiance signed up by Montréal DJs. The beach also hosts yoga sessions every Tuesday.
