Reflecting the cultural diversity of Quebec, from New France to today, the Musée des Métiers d'Art du Québec (MUMAQ) values the best that can be accomplished when we work with our hearts and hands, all for the benefit of the community. The museum’s new permanent exhibition, inaugurated in 2021, is entitled Objets Témoins: une histoire des métiers d'art du Québec. It tells the constantly evolving story of a multitude of trades, know-how, practices and traditions, the result of the blending of different material cultures. The exhibit is also the testimony of thousands of artisans and craftswomen with rich and unique backgrounds. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum hosts around ten temporary exhibitions per year. Located in an old church whose unique architecture inspires wonder, the MUMAQ offers guided tours as well as creative workshops for visitors of all ages.
